“Let my mouth be filled with your praise that I may sing aloud,my lips shout for joy, when I sing yo you.” Psalm 71
“God’s desires for us and our deepest desires are, in the end, not opposed but are one and the same.” Kevin O’Brien, SJ ‘The Ignatian Adventure’
on the breeze
a morning scented rose
for you, beloved
I hear your song, Spirit.
“Do not let your heart be troubled…in my father’s house there are many dwelling places.” John 14
She: Rest……….. listen.
Me: Birdsong, I hear birdsong, and new leaves rustling.
She: All of my creation spreads out before you.
Me: My heart might explode with the joy of it!
She: I will make your heart bigger.
Me: Will the joy fit into a heart filled with sadness?
She: Rest… I will carry the sadness for you.
Light Leading Me,

“Whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret.” Matthew 6:6
The invitation is
to meet God in silence,
deep in my own heart;
He patiently waits for me
to open the door to his word
and to sit quietly
letting it soak into my being,
there are many doors to close on my way to this
sacred place where God waits for me.
Today, I close the door on guilt and worry.
Jesus , I desire the grace to
open the door to the compassion that resides in my heart ,
to the place where you abide.
“In your presence there is fullness of joy; in your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:11
thoughts bombard me
like heavy rain pounding the roof,
slowly my mind clears
the clouds float away
taking my cares.
the Sun breaks through
and there comes a moment of rest
an awareness of God’s presence
my thoughts are suspended
sparkling in the sunlight
the Sun holds them outside of me;
inside, there opens up
a spaciousness that vibrates
Here in your presence, I find joy.
” Holy, holy, holy the Lord God almighty, who was and is and is to come.” (Revelations 4:8)
At the moment we are about to give up,
so weary of winter,
the earth begins to soften.
The last of the snow is melting
and tiny snow drops, crocuses and pansies begin to appear.
The earth embraces the melting snow,
accepting the life- giving water with open arms.
God, the immense holy one,
calls us back to his tender ever-present embrace.
My heart cracks open,
trembling like the pansies in the snow.
I long to fall into this bottomless pool of love.
My God, touch me today with your presence.
” My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Exodus 33:14
Lead me, Lord
with your still, small voice
to the Wisdom you have placed deep in my heart,
the door to this place is silence,
and though the world is noisy and messy,
you guide me to this inner room
a dwelling place,
for you and for me,
There, I rest in Silence.
